NB 7 Beta is out. Time for the plugin ?? ;)

Not a tiny, little prerelease ? Because I want to use the nice remote glassfish feature for a SAP Project that I'm currently starting.

Will there be an update ?

Any news on this ???
Would be nice to know, when it's ready to use.
I have some serious migration to do, so it would be nice to
know when I can start with it.
I think, the discussion about Oracle dropping netbeans should be finished,
so it's worth having a plugin for netbeans.

Hi,
is there a way to get the position of components programmatically ?
Without the use of Javascript ?
I tried to get the style of a component, but it seems that it doesn't update.

Hi,
could anyone please tell me, when there will be a integration in NB 6.7 ?
The broken webclient in NB 6.5 and 6.5.1 destroys my whole project.
It's more than annoying to recreate a webproject every 2 days from scratch.
Because, when a NB project is broken, you will never get it work again.
SVN doesn't work always and breaks, the webservice client doesn't work and breaks. I never had to reopen a project so many times, and NB takes some time to open up. Even Visual Studio didn't f... me so much. I'm thinking of kicking my computer out of the window every day.
So please, if you have some beta integration or sth else I owe you a beer or twenty. And whenever you are in Germany, I'll be there for you ;)
I beg you.

I use visual web.
You think, I should create the GUI by hand ;)
Am I right ?

PS: I just tried to make a wrapperclass for the Webserviceclient, that I use in 6.5.1 to circumvent the problems with the webserviceclientissues in NB 6.5.1, but this is another pain in the a..

because the Webservice-Webclient functionality in 6.5 and 6.5.1 is broken for me.
The only way to work with NB and IceFaces would be, to create wrapper classes in 6.7 and develop the GUI in 6.5.1, but this would be a pain.
My only solution is to go back to woodstock and I'd very like to use IceFaces.
Don't you have any 6.7 plugin beta code that I could use ???

Holger

The same problem exist if someone try use current Icefaces 1.8.0 plugin to Netbeans 6.7m3.
Error message:
The plugin JSF Project Core is requested in implementation version 1. The following plugins are affected: ICEfaces Project Integration
I suppose that "JSF Project Core" release version is not changed bettwen 6.5 an 6.7.
In logs I don't see any details.
It would be a very nice feature, to have a 6.7 version of the plugin, because I'd like to change to 6.7 because of webservice bugs in netbeans, that seem to be fixed in 6.7. So, go go go go !!!!!!!!!!

OK,got it.
It seems that Windows Update deleted the line
127.0.0.1 localhost
in the etc/hosts file.
This is so ridiculous. Many hours for nothing.
Thanks M$.
I'm quite sure it wasn't me, that deleted that line.
Have fun,
Holger

So, the problem, that stops me from working::
Suddenly every Netbeans Version doesn't work with Glassfish.......
Symptoms: Starting Glassfish from Servernode. The Outputwindow (and server.log) shows
correct startup of Glassfish, but Netbeans shows a Popupwindow with ...the Server couldn't be started.
But the server is started, and now the stunning effect, Firefox can't show the http://localhost:8080 or 4848 . Opera shows it correct.
Deployment isn't possible.
Firewall doesn't seem to be a problem.
Only thing that changed is the Microsoft Update of yesterday.
I'm getting mad.
Regards,
Holger
Edit: Just realized, that localhost seems to be the problem. Using IP or hostname or 127.0.0.1 works in Firefox. ??? Getting stranger ???
