I think it's a bug introduced by version 1.6.1.
If SelectInputDate component renderAsPopup property is set to true, it will show always in top left corner of page when the popup calendar is closed.

thanks for pointing out, I open a jira for this bug.

as a work around, you could put selectInputDate inside a panelGroup or other layout component.
