There has not been a 1.6.0 or 1.6.1 version of ICEfaces for Java Studio Creator.

Is there a reason for this?

Will there be a version for JSC??

As of ICEfaces 1.6 we've decided to focus our resources on the NetBeans w/ Visual Web Pack (VWP) integration and away from the Java Studio Creator (JSC) integration.

The main factors in this decision were:

Large-scale community interest in NetBeans w/ Visual Web Pack (VWP) for visual page design

Significant voluntary JSC user-base migration to NetBeans with VWP

Sun's decision to migrate existing JSC users to NetBeans v6.0 w/ VWP

We realize that this will impact some people negatively, but with Sun indicating that the future direction for Creator users is NetBeans 6.0 and the fact that interest in the NetBeans VWP integration is an order of magnitude greater than the Creator integration, the decision to focus on NetBeans going forward was clear.

The good news is that using the VWP in NetBeans provides an excellent visual design experience that anyone familiar with Creator will find very familiar.
