After installing both modules and the component library I have created a Visual Web Application project. I added the ICEFaces components to the project and then clicked on Enable ICEFaces to modify the project files. When I try to drag an ICEFaces component from the palette I get the circle with the line through it indicating that this operation is not allowed. What am I doing wrong?

some of JSF components have strict parent and child relationship. Hence, most of the drag&drop operations are enforced by the rules.

Not sure if your ones are legal relationship or not.

Try to remove the component library and add it again. Sometimes it does not work correctly...

If it is not working, please describe a test case. Also any exceptions in the background.

You could look at the netbeans log under

./netbeans/5.5/var/log/messages.log or

C:\Documents and Settings\Users\.netbeans\5.5\var\messages.log

Sometimes adding icefaces complib to a nb5.5 vwp project, the correspoding icefaces jar files isn't added to the poject, it cause components can't be drop into Page. Try to remove the icefaces complib and add it again.
