I asked one of the guys here who has tried and he says that it is not a possibility. If you see something their libraries do that ours don't, let us know, but I think you'll find our product very powerful.

Hi,
Did you manage to make the icefaces + Ajax4jsf work together?
Or is it not possible?
Thanks

I really can't see any need for the Ajax4jsf libraries if I am using ICEfaces, so won't be testing this one out, but can't see it working in any way.
What functionality do you see using from the Ajax4jsf that ICEfaces doesn't have?

From a user point, I also cannot see any necessity to use Ajax4jsf in a ICEfaces project. Based on my understanding, Ajax4jsf is for those JSF components which don't have Ajax functionality, e.g Sun RI and myfaces, but ICEfaces have already seamlessly integrated Ajax with JSF (this is ICEfaces dominant strength). So, it you choose ICEfaces, you don't need Ajax4jsf. However, Ajax4jsf has a mediaOutput component, which ICEfaces don't have now. Maybe, ICEfaces consider to add it in future releases. Hope it is helpful.

it will be great if user can write own custom components using icefaces, ajax4jsf has CDK for it.
i don't know icefaces and ajax4jsf (richfaces) very well but for user it is very important that framework must be flexible and simple.
i tried to use richfaces tree component dynamically for two weeks but i can't, and no one could help me in forum, it is very bad.

Paata.

The scrollable data table, dynamically fetching of rows is really great!
Are you planning this kind of feature in a near future?

Mboro and Mik974 the features you have requested will be added to our Rich Data Grid component. You can vote for the following JIRA:
http://jira.icefaces.org/browse/ICE-2379
Thanks,

I try to implement external filter criteria for table. For this functionality I need ajax4jsf or something like that.
I haven't found any filter functionality in IceFaces.

The one of the best components of Richfaces is Editable Comobo which is not in ICEFaces. Really wondering why ICE guys not focusing on this. Hope we would see something like this
