Using JSC2-1, CE1.5
I have an application that uses the GoogleMap component in Blueprints.
I want to convert that application to ICEfaces, but It looks like there is a compatibility issue.
To test, I created two projects. One was created as an ICEfaces project when I first created it.
I added the calendar component from the Blueprints component set since it was easy to test.
The application would not run.
I created a second project as a standard JSF project (no ICEfaces).
I added the Blueprints calendar component and it ran fine.
I then added ICEfaces by selecting "ICEfaces Integration..." under the "Files" panel. It died again when attempting to run.
This is a repeatable and easy create test enbvironment if there is any interest in being compatible with AJAX components.
I pointed this out on the old web site and the answer suggested that the compatibility issue might be addressed in this release. Unfortunately, it was not.
My suspicion is that this is related to the way Javascript is handled under ICEfaces. I still have not been able to get Javascript to work correctly.
The source of the resultant web page shows the Javascript to be duplicated.

Hi,
If you want to send us a test case and any other server log files, or client-side js errors, we can try to take a look to see if there's anything specifically we can do to get around the JavaScript errors.
Thanks,
Philip

Attached are two zip files;
1) AjaxCalendarNoIce.zip - Contains simple jsp page containing Blueprints calendar component and web page generated when project is run.
2) AjaxCalendarWithIce.zip - Same project as above, but using ICEFaces.
File contains jsp page, web page error when project is run, and server log for the run.

I sent the code from a test project, but have not heard any response.
Just curious as to any progress?

I am new to ICEfaces. I am also in the process of moving an existing JSF project in JSC2.1 to ICEfaces.
I just tried the BluePrints Map Viewer and it did not work.
The sourcecode of the rendered HTML page looks good, but nothing is rendered. :-(
Has anybody solved this yet?
Any hint would be greatly appreciated,
Juergen
