Any thoughts given to supporting IntelliJ 6?

I'm sure there are many common classes used amongst the many integrations. If you were to give those up, perhaps someone else might write the plugin for you?

Hi,

Yes, several of us use IntelliJ regularily, so it's something we'd like to do. We do intend to open the tool integration source code also, just haven't had time to complete the work to do so yet.

I'll see what we can do in the short-term.

Regards,
Ken

Thanks for the quick reply Ken,

I have some experience creating plugins for intelliJ, not much just some small things. If I could get time I would help, if I can.

Thanks again.

You can use IntelliJ v6.0 with ICEfaces today by manually adding the ICEfaces libraries and configuration file changes to your JSF project in IntelliJ. Once configured, it actually works very well. Several of our developers here at ICEsoft are using IntelliJ this way.

I'll see if one of them can post a summary on how to do the configuration to the Knowledge Base for you.

Thanks,

I am actually using Icefaces with IntelliJ 6.03. Idea's built in support for JSF and Seam makes it a wonderful experience. I must admit, I never had the chance to look at the support/plugins for the other IDEs. I just kinda assumed that there is some magic stuff which should be provided for IntelliJ too.

Anyway, thanks for your reply and merry Christmas!

Tino
