Hi Everyone...

I installed the following plugins 'ICEfaces Run-Time Libraries' and 'VisualWeb ICEfaces'. I restarted the IDE and went on to create a 'Web Application'. I selected 'Visual Web ICEfaces' in the famework option and clicked on 'finish'. As the progress bar hits 75%, I am getting a message that says 'library must not be null' and there is no further progress beyond 75%. When I click on the 'library' tab, I can see 'ICEfaces Run-Time 1.8.2', so I dont understand why I am getting a 'library must not be null' error. Any idea why I am getting this?

This worked for me. When creating the project select ICEfaces and JavaServer Faces frameworks only. Once the project has been created go to Properties -> Frameworks and add Visual Web ICEfaces. Then i was able to add a New -> ICEfaces Visual Web JSF Page.

It wouldn't deploy from NB, still working on that. But I was able to copy the generated war to tomcat and it worked.

Netbeans 6.5 is rather dated. I could not even find for download on the Netbeans.org site. Is ICEfaces going to update their tutorials (e.g., Building collaborative CRUD applications with ICEfaces and NetBeans) so that they work with the current version of Netbeans (6.8)?

Thanks

It would be very helpful for a basic tutorial on getting started in a Non-Visual Web Project environment. Something that is usable with Netbeans 6.7 or 6.8 would go a long way to getting me off the ground in this environment.
