Are there any changes regarding your last post?
Is this <ajaxable>false</ajaxable> still necessary with liferay-portal-tomcat-6.0-5.0.1 and ICEfaces-1.7.0 or there is a better solution now ?
Thank you.

Not that I know of, but if there is a better solution I would love to know.

This setting is still necessary if you are dynamically adding ICEfaces portlets to a portal page to ensure window.onload is called for the ICEfaces Ajax Bridge. If you are not adding the portlet dynamically (i.e. you are simply opening portal pages that already have the ICEfaces portlets on them), then you can potentially turn this off as the ICEfaces Ajax Bridge will get properly loaded when the page gets loaded.
Is there a particular problem that you are facing by using this setting? When you say you would like a better solution, what would you like to see? There may be a way to hook directly into the JavaScript APIs provided by Liferay to prevent a full page refresh when you add an ICEfaces portlet but I'm not aware of what it might be.

There isn't a 'problem' doing it this way. It works fine, but just doesn't look as good. All of the other [default] portlets can be dragged onto the screen (perhaps multiple times/instances) without a page refresh, which simply appears more interactive and responsive to the user. It would be nice to leverage the 'Ajaxable' capability when adding ICEfaces portlets as well.

Hi, this setting is causing us problems since we have multiple portlets on screen that can be added / removed. and when we add an ice-faces portlet to the screen the whole screen is being refreshed and all the portlets loose their states. If there is any solution to this - even ivolving hooking directly to the JavaScript APIs - please let me know

Hello;
Is there any solution to this problem yet? I still have it with ICEfaces 1.8 and Liferay 5.2 SP.
Thank You

I am experiencing that page is refreshed twice when this setting is there. If I remove it things don't work properly. Twice refresh problem is now gone, we changed lots of settings and I don't exactly remember which one did the job... Thanks.
